Verification of payments

Letzshop has subscribed to the online payment services of Stripe

In order to limit the risk of fraud , this service provider undertakes multiple verifications of payments before their validation:

  • Any amount exceeding €100 will automatically be secured by 3D Secure validation technology (SCA).
  • Amounts below €100 are generally exempt from this check in order to facilitate online purchases. However, an additional check may take place on a random basis.

Stripe Radar

Stripe Radar is a fraud detection and prevention solution provided by the payment service provider Stripe.

It analyzes all payments made via Stripe in real time using artificial intelligence (AI) and hundreds of features/signals to assess whether a transaction is likely to be fraudulent.

Based on this risk, Stripe can automatically block high-risk payments or flag them for manual review.

For each payment, Radar calculates a risk score.
Transactions with a high risk (e.g. suspicious IP address, implausible card or address data, unusual purchase patterns, etc.) are automatically blocked.

Radar uses data from the entire Stripe network — meaning millions of transactions worldwide — to identify fraud patterns.
